You shouldn't ask... but if you have to, this is what you will come to know: Krakow, Poland is a city with an ancient and temperamental creative soul that craves the constant accompaniment of musicians. David Molus moved to this city from England and soon thereafter him and his guitar met Polish blues gunslinger Tomek Zapała. Without the benefit of a common language, the two began communing through the songs of Dylan, Cash, Yorke, and, most importantly, Molus. Early on in this musical entanglement the two encountered the melodica wielding American Thymn Chase and he slowly became a squeaky third wheel - adding keyboards, vocals and melodica to the musical musings of Mr. Molus and Pan Zapała. The Smingus went through several incarnations over relevant lengths of irrelevant time until soul-brother Jarek Wyka firmly settled himself behind the kit and bass guru Kobra took up permanent residence in the deep end. Don't Ask Smingus is a Krakow based five-piece rhythm and blues rock band with a deep sentiment for folk, real feel for funk and a permanent penchant for raw, soul-rattling lyricism. Our caravan will be rolling into a town near you before you know it. If you have any more questions, don't ask.... Smingus

Zespół dryfował poprzez liczne wcielenia, ewoluując w czasoprzestrzeni aż do momentu, w którym za perkusją zasiadł Jarek Wyka, a gitarę basową ujął Kobra. Duchowi sprzymierzeńcy połączyli siły. I właśnie dlatego Don’t ask Smingus. Zespół gra rhythm’n’bluesa z rockowym zacięciem, głębokim sentymentem do folku, prawdziwym uczuciem dla funku i niegasnącą miłością do szarpiących duszę tekstów.

Track Name: Going Home
going home

it's been a long haul we've had,
so rest in and breathe a while,
the best is still to come

But leave it a the door she said,
don't you bring into here she prayed,
Leave in that hole you made,
The best is still to come

Am i ever coming home?
not as you knew me

Am i ever going home?
not as you had me

It's been a long lonely while,
won't you rest in and raise that smile,
the best is still to come

But leave it a the door she said,
don't you bring into here she prayed,
Leave in that hole you made,
The best is still to come

Am i ever coming home?
not as you knew me

Am i ever going home?
not as you had me

Give it up
give it up to me.....

You in fine colours, you in the right, give it up to me

You're giving me cold shivers, man on the street won't you give me some peace

oh Give it up......
